Eric C Robinson
A. J. Robinson, Eric’s father, began his farming operation with one hundred acres of a mixed farm.
In 1942, Eric Robinson took over the operation in Augustine Cove and established Eric C. Robinson Inc.
Today, Eric C Robinson Inc. farms 2500 acres of potatoes, hay, soy, and barley. They service both the table and seed markets.
The company is still very much a family owned and operated agri-business. In 1962, Mr. Robinson's two sons, John and Alan, joined him in his newly incorporated produce and pesticide dealership. Decades later, it is actively managed by Eric’s grandchildren, Lori, Andrew, Debrah, and Mary. The company currently operates four divisions, Eric C. Robinson, Island Lime, Garden Isle Farms and PEI Agromart, they are widely involved in Prince Edward Island's potato industry, from new product development through to product distribution.
Eric is described as a visionary of the potato industry for his time. |
